Savwinch have been huge fans of Tony Orton for over 10 years, so when Tony came to us over 5 years ago asking for advice on Winches we were more than happy to help. Tony has had 4 Savwinch Drum Winches on his 4 boats, and currently has both a 2000SSS and a 1000SSS on each of his Extreme Boats. Tony has fished all around the world, from Dubai to Costa Rica to Canada and many more amazing locations. Savwinch are proud to partner with such a prolific fisherman and whenever Tony gets new boats, you can be certain we’ll be his first port of call for a few more Drum Winches.

“We have now used Savwinch drum winches on our last two charter boats. After many years of using standard capstan style winches and having no end of issues we decided to make the change to drum winches for our last two vessels. After meeting with Nick from Savwinch and getting his recommendation it has be hassle free fishing for the last 3.5years. These winches are reliable, quiet and quick. We will never use anything else!”

Tony and Bea, founders of Offshore Adventures, traveled and fished the world for over for nine years before finally decide that the stunning Mokohinau Islands located 25 miles off the coast of Mangawhai Heads, New Zealand was the location they would like to fish on an annual basis and feel confident this diverse fishery will produce exceptional offshore fishing adventures for their friends and guests.

Journey of a Fisherman follows their adventures, sharing all the tips and tricks they learn and stories of the great fisherman they meet on their journey.
